First, there was a release date for the Zelda-inspired adventure Gecko Gods.
Vital Shell , fortunately, is less a monstrous example of scientific hubris and more a competent, top-down arena shooter that combines fantasy mechs with automatic battling mechanics and adds an aesthetic splash of PlayStation 1 visuals and ambient jungle music for good vibes. I spent a few rounds running the game through its paces after noticing its launch this morning and, folks, it's pretty dang fun.
On Thursday, SNK released a trailer for Fatal Fury: CotW 's upcoming second season, which launches on January 22. The trailer promises a pretty robust release schedule for the game's anniversary with monthly character drops over a six-month period. Returning characters Kim Jae Hoon, Nightmare Geese, Blue Mary, and Wolfgang Krauser are slated to join the game's roster, too. However, the excitement of fan-favorites returning has been almost entirely overshadowed by the game's latest trailer incorporating apparent AI-generated clips.

That's apparently what led Street Fighter 2 producer Yoshiki Okamoto to spend over $500,000 of his own money on his own game's loot boxes. Slowly but surely, Monster Hunter Stories has established itself as more than just a spin-off of Capcom's famed action role-playing game. It has gone from a small project on the Nintendo 3DS to an ambitious Japanese RPG on the Nintendo Switch that punched above its weight. Now in its third iteration, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is the franchise's coming-out party. The entry is launching across multiple systems for the first time, and it's taking a different approach to the story.
