Rookie Fermin Aldeguer earned the first victory of his fledgling MotoGP career at the Indonesia Grand Prix, while newly crowned champion Marc Marquez crashed out and was injured after a crunching collision with Marco Bezzecchi. Gresini Racing rider Aldeguer surged past KTM's Pedro Acosta to take the lead on the 10th lap, eventually finishing well clear of the competition on Sunday.
Gresini Racing's Alex Marquez ended his brother Marc's remarkable unbeaten run by winning their home Catalan Grand Prix on Sunday, redeeming himself after crashing out of the lead in Saturday's sprint for just his second career race victory. Marc had won the last 15 sprints and races and had he won Sunday's race would have had the opportunity to clinch a seventh title on Ducati's home turf at next weekend's San Marino Grand Prix.
Marc Marquez dominated the German Grand Prix at Sachsenring, achieving his ninth victory at the venue and reinforcing his championship lead, demonstrating his exceptional skills under challenging race conditions.
