Gleason leaves behind a wife and three children, and a fundraising effort for the family's needs going forward is underway. Dozens of people -- including Siena players in uniform, school officials and members of the University at Albany athletic community -- lined a hospital hallway Wednesday afternoon to pay tribute to Gleason as he was being wheeled into surgery to donate some of his organs, Siena officials said. The school announced his death a couple hours later.

Lacrosse conditioned in me a mindset and temperament that I leaned on throughout the networking, the application, and when it came to it, the interviewing stages. I draw on these intangibles - such as the need to think quickly on my feet, to stay resourceful, and to be a self-starter - every day.

It's been a tough school year for every Palisades High student dealing with the temporary closure of their campus because of the Palisades fire and being forced to find alternative sites to practice their various sports.

"Tottenville is a great program and they're well coached, so they match up very well with us. These games can really go either way at any time for us and we came out on top this time."
