Wrexham are set to hold talks with Josh Windass following the forward's departure from financially-troubled Championship rivals Sheffield Wednesday. Windass confirmed on Thursday he was leaving the Owls by mutual agreement, with the club under several embargoes having failed to pay wages on time for May and June.

Rangers are considering a move to take Josh Windass back to Ibrox, but Coventry City, Derby County and Norwich City are also admirers of the 31-year-old Sheffield Wednesday forward and there is further interest from Germany.
