A superpipe is a halfpipe that is about 64 feet wide and typically between 400 and 600 feet long, with walls approximately 22 feet high. The walls of the pipe are near vertical, with a smooth transition that allows riders to carry maximum speed.

On June 24 2022 the International Olympic Committee 'IOC' announced the addition of two new disciplines to the Winter Olympics. These disciplines are dual moguls and women's large hill ski jumping. The addition of women's large hill jumping leaves Nordic Combined as the last men-only Winter Olympic event. Today we'll take a closer look at dual moguls, which will premier at the ski resort of Livigno, Italy, at the Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympics for both men and women.

We begin our coverage with the downhill aspect of the women's team combined, a new event that those who enjoyed it yesterday know is a terrific addition; the slalom section comes later in the day. In the meantime, we've got the men's slopestyle final in the freeski, USA's Alex Hall hoping to retain his title; his mum is from nearby Bologna, so he'll have family watching, presumably a far scarier proposition than twizzling upside down a million miles in the air.
