The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors has approved a $1.75 million settlement with a woman who accused sheriff's deputies of performing illegal cavity searches.
The settlement comes after the plaintiff took her case to trial, but both parties agreed to settle before a verdict was reached. [ more ]
