Boston's proposed budget for fiscal year 2027 is $4.9 billion with a 2.1% spending increase, the smallest since 2009.
A new poll from personal injury law firm Munley Law, polled more than 3,000 workers across the U.S who drive to work. At around 9 a.m., troopers responded to a report that a bucket truck had been knocked onto its side and into oncoming traffic on Memorial Drive, according to a statement from Massachusetts State Police. A pedestrian was taken to a Boston hospital with life-threatening injuries after they were struck by a car in Canton on Wednesday evening. The commuter rail was significantly delayed by a signal issue on Wednesday, with some lines faced with cancellations, the MBTA said. All 12 commuter rail lines experienced delays beginning Wednesday morning due to a signal issue, with some trains delayed up to 50 minutes, the MBTA said. More than 25 trains were canceled on Wednesday.
