Two Mashpee Boy Scouts carried an injured woman two miles down Mount Lafayette over two hours, applying Scout leadership and survival skills.
A man from Sandwich, Massachusetts, was rescued from a hiking trail on South Moat Mountain in New Hampshire on Friday. Around 4 p.m., N.H. Fish and Game received a report of a hiker experiencing severe cramps in his arms and legs approximately two miles from the trailhead. The man was hiking with a friend when the cramps started. After an hour of attempting to rehydrate, his friend called 911 as the cramping persisted, according to N.H. Fish and Game.
