Everything I'm hearing, including when I speak to him myself, is that he's extremely happy at Bayern Munich, he feels incredibly comfortable in the team, and he also feels incredibly comfortable with the coach. This is also reflected in his performances. Of course I hope it works out for us. But as I said, at the end of the day, the contract has to be signed first. Professor Dr Dieter Mayer as senior vice-president and Walter Mennekes as deputy vice-president were also re-elected at the meeting in Munich's BMW Park. The overwhelming majority of members present voted in favour of another term for Hainer, who succeeded current honorary president Uli Hoeneß at the AGM in December 2019.

Hainer broke his fibula while exercising on Sunday and is unable to travel to Milan with the team for tomorrow's game.
