The pair chose love, not an engagement, with Mel giving Peg a promise ring of sorts and the coveted final golden rose. Out of 23 women, Peg was the one to steal Mel's heart. She said she wants a fireplace, not fireworks, when it comes to love, and she believes she's found that in Mel. The duo was also gifted a trip to Napa Valley in the finale. They say they plan to work that into their already busy travel schedule!

"My heart tells me that I like you a lot," Mel said. Cindy said she believes Mel, and she thinks they are well suited for each other. She's just worried that there isn't enough time. She asked him if he would be ready for a proposal and he said no, "It has to develop over time." Cindy said, "It's a different outcome than I considered."

"There's been a lot going on, I've enjoyed life tremendously, I feel like life is going great," he said.

Mel started in Las Vegas, Nevada to meet Peg and her family. Peg said she never brought anyone to her firehouse before so it was special for her to bring Mel there! Peg joked she had a career on the pole, a fire pole! Peg showed Mel all of the cool tools of the trade and the devices she used on the bomb squad. Can you imagine getting rescued by Peg, so cool!
