The latest edition of the school's Hollywood Diversity report, published Tuesday, found that of the top 250 most-viewed current and library scripted series in 2024, more than 91.7% were created by a white person, with white men accounting for 79% of all show creators both increases from last year. According to a new study from researchers at the USC Annenberg Inclusion Initiative, podcast hosts skew heavily male, and so do their guests. The researchers dug into data from over 600 of the most popular podcasts of 2024, using data from Spotify. They found that within the top 100, nearly two-thirds were hosted by men and nearly three-quarters of all guests were male, too.
The number of high-earning women in the UK has risen to a record 284,000, according to new analysis by Bowmore Wealth Group. The figure - covering the year to 31 March 2025 - represents a 12% increase from 254,000 the previous year and means women now make up 26% of top-rate taxpayers, up from 25% last year and 24% the year before.
