Medical decisions are influenced by how options are framed, presented, and the dynamics of the situation.
Most people leave doctor visits with prescriptions, but still feel unsure—instructions make sense, but no one asks about their life. In contrast, when a provider knows your name, remembers your story, and explains care in a way that fits you, the experience feels different—and that difference matters.
To successfully repair after a mistake, you need to acknowledge and name the mistake, validate the other person's feelings and viewpoint, and create a plan for the specific actions you will take to prevent this mistake from occurring again.

Banks implementing identical operational improvement methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma achieve vastly different results due to factors beyond the practices themselves. Success depends on how thoroughly organizations embed these approaches into their culture, the quality of implementation execution, leadership commitment to continuous improvement, and alignment with overall business strategy.
Recent data from The TalentLMS 2026 L&D Benchmark Report reveals a 19-point perception gap on AI learning support. 83% of HR leaders believe they actively support AI learning, but only 64% of employees agree. Even if you dislike your job, purpose doesn't have to wait until evenings, weekends, or some distant "someday." Purpose can often be built within the work you're already doing. Evidence Based Medicine was formalized in the 1990s, largely by Canadian physician David Sackett. Sackett described the goal of EBM is to replace hunches and habits with data and clinical trials. Clinical guidelines were developed involving protocols that tell doctors which drug to prescribe first, what dose to use, when to escalate treatment, and when to refer a patient to a specialist.

This growing imbalance is widening the digital skills gap, leaving many business leaders unsure whether they have the right people, with the right skills, ready to perform at the speed their organizations need to compete and grow.
We have this combination of what we want to achieve, but also how we achieve it," Daniela Seabrook, Adecco Group's CHRO, told Business Insider. "The behavioral aspect is really important for us." I see this daily in veterinary medicine, where high burnout rates cost the sector upwards of $2 billion per year. It's a challenging environment with long hours, stressful workloads and patients that can't even tell you what's wrong. But I've found that the best way to boost performance and even increase capacity with maxed-out teams is to address the underlying operational issues.
