It's time for 2026 California to wake up to the fact that Sib, Joe Sib, is a contender for the Best of Us Award. It's wildly rare to have an artist like Sib who crosses over from being in the early punk rock scene to co-founding SideOneDummy Records and discovering talent like Flogging Molly.

'Starting Over Again' is our first new music in over a decade, and it came from the fans calling for it and us realizing the timing finally felt right. The chemistry in this lineup is undeniable, and everything just clicked. This song is exactly what the title says. A reset, but with more clarity, more urgency, and way more fire behind it. It feels like the start of something big for us, not a throwback, but a step forward.

The opener "Not Not Not" is almost goofy, its chaotic melodies constantly dancing around each other in a perpetually disorienting way. It lurches forward asymmetrically, grooving like a flat tire.

Chief among those additions are red hot, inescapable French Canadian microtonal mathrock duo Angine de Poitrine who have cited King Gizzard as an influence. One can only hope for a live microtonal collab during one of King Gizzard's three headline sets at the festival.

Girl Trouble are the Northwest's garage rock demigods, revered by all from Neko Case and Mudhoney to Soundgarden and Beat Happening. On As Is, their first album in over a decade, vibrato guitar collides rollin' and tumblin' into bedrock beats and black crow vocal calls; it's rock'n'roll done in a backwoods style.

Dwarves have announced their 17th studio album, titled J ENKEM, set to arrive June 6th via Greedy Records. In support of the upcoming record, the veteran punk band will embark on US tours in the spring and fall.

It's a true dream to put out a single on Sub Pop, and our new song 'Masks' hopefully honors the spirit of the mythical, sometimes mystical, city of Seattle. Thanks in part to the movie Hype, we have long been obsessed with Seattle, the American underground of the late '80s, and Sub Pop and their tools of world domination. Everything we learned about packaging Chat Pile, we learned from Sub Pop co-founders Jonathan Poneman and Bruce Pavitt.

Dream Fatigue is a new-ish Massachusetts band launched by former Fleshwater/Vein drummer Matt Wood and fronted by Jonali McFadden, and they make shoegazy alt-rock that's not too different from what Matt was doing in Fleshwater. They released their debut LP The Lady In The Sky in 2024, and now they announced a new seven-song EP, No Requiem, due February 13 via DAZE ( pre-order).
