CHP arrests Bay Area man in I-80 gunfire case

Cameron Michael-Tanner Jones, 31, of Vacaville was taken into custody on Aug. 21 after investigators identified him with the help of Flock Safety cameras, the CHP said in a social media post. According to investigators, on May 1, at about 5:55 p.m., officers from the CHP's Solano Area responded to reports of a possible shooting on eastbound I-80, east of the Carquinez Bridge. The victim was not injured. Special Investigations Unit detectives took over the investigation and, with help from Flock Safety cameras, identified Jones.
