The Metro Express covers 20 miles along the South Dade TransitWay, positioning it as the longest all-electric BRT corridor in the United States. By comparison, Los Angeles Metro's G Line spans about 18 miles, fully electrified since 2021, while IndyGo's Red Line in Indianapolis runs 13 miles with 60-foot battery-electric buses. Looking ahead, Seattle's Stride network will reach 46 miles when it launches later this decade, potentially overtaking Miami-Dade once in full operation.

The Busworld Europe 2025 Congress, held from 6 to 9 October 2025 in Brussels, drew 1,242 unique participants to its sessions. The event ran in parallel with the exhibition Busworld Europe 2025, which welcomed 45,427 visitors (+12% compared to the 40,100 registered at Busworld 2023), representing 101 countries, according to the final figures shared by the organizers. The next edition, Busworld Europe 2027, is scheduled to take place in Brussels from 16 to 21 October 2027, with the congress running from 18 to 21 October.

The new hybrids will help modernize an aging fleet. About 70% of the NYPD's 8,992 vehicles have passed their five-year life cycle. Hybrid vehicles, which typically operate on electricity at lower speeds and gas at higher speeds, make up about half of the NYPD's fleet. The department currently has fewer than 500 fully electric vehicles, mostly limited to school safety and traffic enforcement duties.

In recent years, several European countries have adopted models similar to FaaS, supported by infrastructure funds, green bonds and public guarantees. These initiatives, which have enabled the financing of electric buses and fleets, trams, digital ticketing systems and MaaS platforms, confirm that FaaS is one of the most successful solutions for fleet decarbonisation. However, many providers of this model focus on individual aspects of the transition: some on electric vehicles, others only on infrastructure.

Highland Electric Fleets will provide 500 zero-emission school buses for the 2028 Olympic games to be held in Los Angeles. The vehicles, normally idle during the summer months, will be repurposed to transport accredited stakeholders across venues in Los Angeles. The initiative, presented at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum with Mayor Karen Bass, LA28 CEO Reynold Hoover, and Highland CEO Duncan McIntyre, is described as a first-of-its-kind program for a global sporting event.

Right now, when city waste collection trucks fill up on their routes, the drivers need to go long distances - sometimes more than 30 miles - to empty out at landfills and composting sites. The transfer station would be closer to the central city, where city sanitation workers would move the loads into much bigger trucks before the long haul.
