As we enter the cold and flu season, drivers may find themselves feeling under the weather. While many motorists may feel healthy enough to drive, they could find themselves coughing up a lot of cash, should they be deemed as driving without due care and attention. The worker was creating a batch of paint at a Pigments Services Canada Inc. facility in April 2024 when their clothes became tangled in the machine, the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development said in a news release Monday. The paint mixing process involved lowering a paddle into a vat driven by an exposed rotating shaft, said the release. While working alone, the worker's clothing became entangled in the unguarded shaft, resulting in a fatal injury.
