Kevin O'Leary's Marty Supreme character was originally conceived as a literal vampire, and the film's ending was altered to remove that backstory.

She confirmed that Glinda doesn't know Elphaba is alive, even though it seems like they reconnect through magic in the final scene of the film. "She can't. Well, they don't see each other," she said. "You see us, but we don't see each other. She's far as hell."
At the end of : , Glinda informs Elphaba that she's in danger and begs to let her clear her name so she can return to Oz peacefully. However, Elphaba believes Glinda can make more progress on her own, as Oz-ians need "someone wicked" to hate. Therefore, after one last tear-filled duet, she lets Dorothy "melt" her to death as Glinda watches while crying from behind the door, knowing that it would be the last time that she ever sees Elphaba.
