China launches the world's fastest internet
China has launched the fastest internet connection in the world, capable of transferring 1.2 terabytes of data per second.
The fiberoptic cable stretches 1,864 miles and connects Beijing, Wuhan, and Guangzhou.
The network was developed by Tsinghua University, China Mobile, Huawei, and CERNET. [ more ]
