An altercation at a local liquor store in Fall River on Saturday may have led to the fatal shooting of a 31-year-old man, according to the Bristol County District Attorney's Office. In a release, the district attorney's office said that at around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Fall River police received a 911 call to the area of Leonard's Package Store located at 1331 Pleasant St. for "men fighting."

Domonick Knight, 38, suffered a gunshot wound to the head during an exchange of gunfire with police and was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Nine people were killed and dozens more injured when the five-alarm fire broke out before 10 p.m., and some trapped residents were seen hanging out of windows and screaming for help.
