Domonick Knight, age 38, was shot by police during an armed standoff at his Fall River home. Authorities responded to reports of a man armed with a gun who threatened self-harm. After evacuation of nearby residents, police attempted to negotiate with Knight but were unsuccessful. As officers entered the home, Knight fired upon them, leading to an exchange of gunfire. Knight sustained a gunshot wound to the head and later died at the hospital. Body cam footage captured the incident, and officers utilized a flashbang device during the response.

Police responded to a home on Langley St. around 1:30 a.m. for a call reporting a man inside the home was armed with a gun and threatening to harm himself.
Despite all efforts, communication was not successfully established and officers entered the residence around 3:15 a.m. where gunfire was exchanged.
Officers returned fire while repositioning away from the entryway, and communication efforts continued both prior to and following the exchange of gunfire.
