Publisher of Sports Illustrated, Arena Group, plans to lay off staff after its license to use the brand's name was revoked by Authentic Brands Group.
The layoffs could potentially affect all NewsGuild workers represented by the employee union.
The Arena Group acquired publishing rights from ABG in 2019 and has faced challenges since, including the firing of its CEO and changes in publication frequency. [ more ]
