Unlike many murder trials where there are family members sitting in court and hearing the evidence, that didn't happen in this case because the victim's identities were still unknown. Not only had the defendant taken their lives, he had also wiped away their names, leaving family members longing and waiting for decades for answers about their loved ones.

Michael Sidney Hill, a British man who died in Arizona in 2013, was identified after a decade of being known only as 'Maricopa County John Doe 2013'.

Current medical guidelines have us screening for only five cancers, and one at a time. A new test, from a startup called Grail, has identified fifty cancers, with a remarkably low rate of false positives.

"We're averaging almost a case a day at this point," said Michael Vogen, Director of Case Management with Othram.
