As a designer, I don't spend all day creating designs in Figma.That doesn't even take up half of my day.If this is what you think a designer is hired to do, then you have a misunderstanding of what it means to be a designer.My responsibilities are to the business, to stakeholders, and to our users.Some of the things I focus on as a UX designer include:

Discovery and bringing clarity to ambiguous concepts
Understanding our customer needs
Exploring gaps and opportunities in our current offerings
Brainstorming different solutions to user problems
Storytelling to communicate ideas and explain tradeoffs to stakeholders
Collaborating with product managers and developers to align on priorities while considering technical limitations and resources
Advocating for a good user experience

None of these tasks directly involve Figma and I don't rely on any one tool to perform my job.
