On Tuesday at around 4 p.m., first responders were notified that a 37-year-old man was unconscious on a section of the Kalalau Trail known as "Crawler's Ledge." This section of the trail is known for its steep cliffs, slippery slopes and narrow trail, where some hikers choose to crawl, hence the nickname.
Firefighter Jeffrey Jovin, a former paramedic with experience assisting in childbirth, realized the newborn wasn't breathing and had no pulse. Jovin immediately began CPR as another member assisted with ventilation until EMS arrived.

If you pass out, you're way more likely to be found as opposed to being in a room in a building or your house. Call 911 even though you can't speak. Someone will be sent to your location by dispatch.
A man was taken to a hospital in critical condition Tuesday after falling off a boat about five miles off Newburyport. The Newburyport police and fire departments received a report of a boater who had fallen overboard and was in need of medical attention around 3:45 p.m. Other people on the boat performed CPR on the man before Newburyport first responders arrived, took over those efforts, and ultimately brought him to a private dock on Plum Island Point, the departments say.
