Labour plans to reform ministerial redundancy payments to save costs and align with rules for civil servants and special advisers.
The proposed changes include limiting severance payments to a quarter of ministers' earnings over the last 12 months, reclaiming payments if ministers return to a ministerial position, and suspending and quashing payments for those under investigation. [ more ]
