Oktoberfest has become a way for communities to come together and celebrate in the fall. Neighborhood festivals will be taking place throughout Southern California in the next few weeks. They have German themes, German food and German beer, but a wide variety of attractions. Many take place during the daytime in streets and parks. Most but not all are family affairs.
