After serving as Cupertino's interim city manager since May, Tina Kapoor was named to the permanent position by a unanimous vote of the City Council on Nov. 18. Kapoor assumed the her new role the following day. Kapoor has almost 25 years of local government experience, having worked for the cities of San Jose, Fremont and Cupertino. Prior to her appointment as interim city manager, she served as Cupertino's interim assistant city manager, deputy city manager and economic development manager.

Pittsburg is a city with a rich history, and an exciting future ahead, said Gale, adding he looks forward to working with the City Council, community, city staff and businesses. Together, we will strengthen the local economy, enhance public services, and continue making Pittsburg a place where families and businesses can thrive, said Gale.
