Seth Jones had waited most of his life to get a Stanley Cup ring. And then he had to wait even longer before he could see it. The Florida Panthers handed out the rings from their second consecutive title on Monday, and Jones was the first person on the long list of players, coaches and staff who got the prized pieces of jewelry during the ceremony.
Way after midnight and visiting hours had long since finished but they had only just got started and they weren't going to leave the patient with appendicitis lying there alone, not at a time like this.
"This makes me incredibly proud. I'll write to the coach and Max Eberl on Monday: Please feel free to keep the cockatoo at Bayern as long as possible. Maybe it's a lucky charm so they can win other titles soon."
