Brusdar Graterol has not thrown a pitch for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2025 as he struggled to recover from right shoulder surgery he underwent during the offseason. Graterol's absence was compounded by Evan Phillips undergoing Tommy John surgery this year, and a long list of inconsistent performances and additional injuries. The Dodgers bullpen didn't show strong signs of improvement during the National League Wild Card Series, but by a generous interpretation, survived their first test of the postseason.
Brusdar Graterol has proven to be an invaluable member of the Dodgers bullpen since making his debut in 2020 as a 21-year-old. For parts of five seasons, "Bazooka" has compiled a terrific 2.69 ERA - allowing only 147 hits and nine homers in 181 innings pitched. The movement on his pitches are elite (as is his stuff). Graterol's ability to remain calm under pressure made him a favorite high-leverage selection for the coaching staff during the postseason.
