Apple has disabled the blood oxygen sensor on select models of the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and Apple Watch Series 9 in the United States due to a legal dispute with medical device maker Masimo.
Customers who purchase these models in the United States will still have the hardware for the sensor, but it will not work.
The ban on selling Apple Watches with the blood oxygen sensor in the United States remains in place while Apple appeals the ruling. [ more ]
