Melissa Reese will not join Guns N' Roses on tour due to personal reasons.
With Josh Freese, Josh is a consummate professional. He has a storied career of playing with everyone from Michael Buble to The Offspring, he's had thousands of studio recordings. So he came in, we went out on tour, and we had such a blast. We had a great time. It was like a year-and-a-half of touring, the shows were great and we had a lot of fun.
The New Pornographers will release new album The Former Site Of on March 27, via Merge. Watch the video for the single "Votive," animated by Michael Arthur, below. The band that performs on the follow-up to Continue as a Guest comprises A.C. Newman, Kathryn Calder, Neko Case, John Collins, and Todd Fancey. Charley Drayton joins on drums, replacing the disgraced former drummer Joe Seiders. Josh Wells will be behind the kit on the band's April-bound tour.
"We've already done that with Marty," Dave responded, in reference to the aforementioned performance. "And I mean, let's look at the other people we've played with... there's a lot of people. [Laughs] That would be a huge undertaking. I don't think I want to do that. I'd rather keep doing what we're doing and let the fans [experience] Megadeth music and be happy about it. It's not 'puppet show Megadeth.'"
In a world that almost exclusively worships solo artists, it seems strange and almost anachronistic to see six musicians arrive together to give an interview. But Black Country, New Road aren't known for going with the flow. Formed in Cambridge, they have established themselves as one of the most magnetic and unclassifiable British bands of their generation. Their approach combines experimental rock with the sensibility of a chamber sextet, shot through with echoes of spectral folk and a lyrical ambition that has become their trademark.
