Idaho Republicans face a decision on funding Trump's ballroom renovation amid political tensions and potential delays.
Podcast host and independent journalist Jim Acosta took a field trip to the White House to get some strong reactions to President Donald Trump's ongoing demolition project at the People's House. Since taking office for a second time, Trump has overseen massive changes to the physical features of the White House, including a gold-drenched Oval Office overhaul, a paved-over lawn in the Rose Garden, and now a major demolition in the East Wing to make way for a massive ballroom.
Incredibly, White House communications director Steven Cheung mocking the "pearl clutching" "losers" who raised concerns about the East Wing being demolished did not quell the outrage over President Trump unilaterally deciding to tear down part of the White House to make way for his ballroom. So the White House tried a different tactic on Wednesday afternoon: having President Trump explain that everyone needs to chill out because the East Wing was pretty ugly and his new White House ballroom will be totally badass.
