The man suspected of shooting senior Russian military intelligence officer Vladimir Alexeyev in Moscow has been detained in Dubai, Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) intelligence agency said Sunday. The FSB named the Russian national in his 60s as Lyubomir Korba, who it said was arrested by police in the United Arab Emirates and then extradited to Russia. TASS news agency reported Sunday that a second man was arrested in Moscow, while a suspected female accomplice of the gunman has fled to Ukraine, citing the FSB.

U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon pronounced Ryan Routh's fate in the same Fort Pierce courtroom that erupted into chaos in September when he tried to stab himself shortly after jurors found him guilty on all counts. Prosecutors had asked for life without parole, saying Routh is unrepentant and has never apologized. A defense attorney brought in for his sentencing asked for 27 years, noting that Routh is already turning 60.

Now it is quite shocking as the verdict was read, it appeared to our producers inside the courtroom that Routh tried to stab himself in the neck with a pen. That's what it appeared to look like. Then four marshals dragged him out of the courtroom, took his coat off; they then shackled him at the waste and ankles, and they brought him back into the courtroom.
