On Christmas Day, just before midnight at 11.27pm, emergency services responded to Wilfred Drive in Darnall after a 20-year-old man was reported to have been shot in his chest. The victim was taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical, life-threatening condition. Following the incident, detectives immediately began working at pace to understand the circumstances and quickly had four men arrested in connection to the incident.

Authorities said the violence stemmed from a fight between both 12-year-olds just before 3 p.m. inside Betsy Head Park, near Thomas S. Boyland Street and Dumont Avenue in Brownsville. NYPD officers arrived to find the victim with a stab wound to his chest, and first responders took him to Brooklyn University Medical Center in critical but stable condition, according to officials.

Five members of an alleged Brooklyn biker gang face charges of attempted murder and assault following a frenzied East Flatbush gun battle last spring, the Brooklyn District Attorney said Thursday. Police are investigating whether the man accused of trying to kill 10 people during the Huntingdon train attack is linked to a string of knife incidents in the hours before the bloody rampage. BROOKLYN, NY - A man has been charged after shooting three people outside a Brooklyn hospital last week, police said on Friday. Allan Joseph, 52, has been charged with attempted murder, assault and gun possession, among other offenses, in connection with the Oct. 24 incident, police said. The shooting was reported around 12:15 a.m. on Sept. 13 in the 100 block of Ciolino Avenue, near Del Monte Avenue, according to the Morgan Hill Police Department. Officers found several bullet casings at the scene and learned the 17-year-old victim had been taken to an area hospital with gunshot wounds, police said. The victim has since been treated and released.
