AC Milan Women have announced the signings of Ewelina Kamczyk and Mawa Sesay in the last few days, strengthening the side after a pretty big departure. Two weeks ago, Milan confirmed the sale of their star forward Evelyn Ijeh to NC Courage. It is believed that the Rossoneri got a decent chunk of cash, especially since Ijeh explained that the decision to leave wasn't made by her. Nevertheless, having lost a pretty important player, Milan decided that it was time to make some reinforcements.

AC Milan Women clinched a convincing win, their first of the year, against Ternana earlier today as they found the back of the net three times. The Rossonere headed into the year with confidence, and well-rested too after a long break, but two draws in the first two games certainly brought their plan to a halt. Fortunately, they were able to bounce back with a much-needed win today, even if anything else would have been embarrassing.

This season, Ijeh has been an important player for Milan Women with five goals and two assists. However, after being left out of the squad for the last two games, a move to the American club NC Courage has now been made official for the forward. AC Milan can confirm that Evelyn Ijeh has joined North Carolina Courage on a permanent basis.

You could see straight away that they were out for revenge, keen on proving themselves against a strong team. Indeed, the Rossonere created the first dangerous chance of the game in the 23rd minute, as Thea Kyvåg found Evelyn Ijeh in the box. The Swede headed the ball towards goal but ended up hitting the crossbar, coming very close to giving Milan the lead.
