Liverpool is in contact with RB Leipzig regarding a potential transfer for winger Yan Diomande, who may cost 100 million euros.
Yan Diomande is in fine form. The 19-year-old has been exceptional for RB Leipzig and has all the attributes to become a future star. It has been confirmed that Liverpool are looking to secure his signature in the coming months, and talks have already taken place.
Martijn Kaars' stoppage-time penalty helped struggling St. Pauli snatch a 1-1 draw with RB Leipzig at Millerntor-Stadion on Tuesday. Ole Werner's side were on track for all three points after Yan Diomande's second-half strike, but Kaars levelled up from 12 yards after being taken out by David Raum in the box. Only the base of the right post denied Leipzig from taking an eighth-minute lead, with Xaver Schlager's attempt from the edge of the box seeing Nikola Vasilj almost caught out.
🔴 Sky Info: RB Leipzig is paying Timo Werner a severance payment of around €2m as part of the transfer to San José Earthquakes. Werner would have earned just over €5m in salary until the summer. This means Leipzig "saves" around €3m & is settling with Werner for about €2m. RB is still in talks with San José about whether a small transfer fee (low six-figure) will be paid or whether it will be a completely free transfer. Final discussions, then the transfer to MLS will go through. @SkySportDE
