"It is TRUE: Yan Diomande is no longer a priority for Bayern's decision-makers. He obviously has so much quality and is playing very well in the Bundesliga this term. So, he's not off the list because he's a poor player, but rather because he's too good and too expensive!"
"And the fact of the matter is that they already have Luis Diaz, who is the main man on the left side. They can't pay so much money for what would effectively be a backup signing. So, it's hard for Bayern Munich, given they love the player, but they won't be involved in the poker with Premier League clubs."
Bayern Munich has decided against pursuing RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande despite recognizing his exceptional qualities and impressive Bundesliga performance. The 19-year-old Ivorian's transfer fee, expected to start negotiations at €100m (£86.2m), is too expensive for a backup signing. Bayern's primary left-winger Luis Diaz is already established as the main option, making Diomande's premium price unjustifiable for a reserve role. Although Bayern appreciates the player's talent, they will not engage in transfer negotiations with Premier League clubs competing for his signature. Diomande's market value has increased significantly following his strong debut Bundesliga season, during which he recorded 11 goals and 7 assists across 27 appearances.
