London mayor Sadiq Khan has rejected plans for a massive entertainment venue in the Olympic park, citing concerns about light pollution, electricity usage, and impact on heritage sites.
The proposed MSG Sphere would have been covered in LED panels, standing almost 100m high and 120m wide, with a capacity for 21,500 people.
The venue would have included a smaller music venue, a nightclub, members' lounge, restaurants, bars, external terraces, and podium, as well as new bridges and pedestrian connections across the site.
