US government reinforces ICBC hack link to Citrix Bleed | Computer Weekly

The recent ransomware attack on the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) may have started through vulnerabilities in the Citrix NetScaler product family.
The United States Treasury has written to industry leaders and trade bodies, stating that the vulnerabilities CVE-2023-4966 and CVE-2023-4967 may have been used as access vectors in the attack.
ICBC's ability to do business was severely disrupted, with employees having to use proprietary webmail services and the brokerage temporarily indebted to BNY Mellon for $9 billion. [ more ]
