Google is experimenting with a new feature that allows users to quickly copy a link to a search results page using a paperclip icon on desktop. This feature generates a shortened URL via the goo.gl URL shortener for easier sharing with friends. This was first noted by Brodie Clark on social media, highlighting its novelty compared to previous sharing features that Google has implemented over the years.
Google is now testing out a copy link to the clipboard icon on desktop beside the search settings. When clicking the icon a link is created using the goo.gl URL shortener that allows you to share the search results page.
Google Search has similar features to share results in specific areas of its search results over the years. But this one is a new take on that.
