The Angelika Film Center has undergone a lobby renovation, featuring curvy armchairs and dining sets by online furniture brand Povison. This new design enhances the inviting atmosphere of the theater, allowing patrons to feel at home. The pop-up showroom coincides with design week and showcases various furniture pieces while providing a unique opportunity for guests to engage with the brand's representative. This collaboration marks the theater's first week-long tenant, blending cinema and stylish decor in an effort to elevate the visitor experience.
"People really enjoy it; they actually feel like this is their home," Povison rep Shirley Han noted, highlighting the casual and inviting atmosphere of the theater's new design.
The Angelika's high-ceilinged space was designed for a collaborative approach, blending cinema with a stylish furniture showroom to enhance visitor experience.
