This 1970s Auction Home Was "Ugly" - Until a Reno Brought Out Its Best
Briefly

Jessica Salem and her family bought a 1970s house at auction, keen on turning it into a comfortable home. Despite its dated features, they embraced the renovation process, stripping away old carpets and decor while preserving unique elements like bifold doors and wooden frames. Their approach focused on functionality, intending to create a durable living space for their 3-year-old son. The renovated home now reflects their personal style, full of family heirlooms and vibrant plants, emphasizing comfort over perfection.

We wanted to keep some of the character so the bifold doors, wooden door frames, and skirting boards in the corridor are in original condition.
