The Red House / MORFEUS arkitekter
Briefly

Kari Fredrikke Brænne, a renowned Norwegian artist, envisioned a personal studio that blends creativity and hospitality on her childhood property outside Oslo. Collaborating with MORFEUS architects, she realized her dream of a compact, multifunctional space that accommodates her artistic pursuits while offering comfortable living for family and guests. The 50-square-meter studio, designed with a contemporary touch, maintains harmony with its 1936 main house and surrounding nature. By preserving the original garden, the studio fosters a dialogue with its environment, showcasing modern design within a traditional context.
Kari Fredrikke Brænne envisioned a personal haven for creativity; MORFEUS architects realized this through a thoughtfully designed studio that harmonizes with its natural surroundings.
The atelier's modern architecture, featuring expressive shapes and larger windows, allows it to stand out while still respecting the residential character of Råa.
