South-west France airport unveils new public transport connection plans

Toulouse transportation authorities are undertaking a significant expansion project to improve access to Blagnac airport. A new tram line, Ligne Aeroport, will connect the airport with the city and is expected to be operational by the end of 2026. The recently planned Blagnac station will serve as a transport hub, housing bus stops and connections to the Metro and T1 tramway. The anticipated Metro line C will also stop at the Blagnac station, set to be inaugurated by 2028, reducing travel time from Central SNCF to the airport to approximately 22 minutes.
Toulouse transportation authorities are set to open a new tram line (Ligne Aeroport) connecting Toulouse-Blagnac airport with the city, facilitating easier access to the airport.
A new Blagnac station will connect the airport tramline with the city Metro and tram system, allowing easier access to central Toulouse and surrounding areas.
Passengers will be able to get to the airport from Toulouse's central SNCF station Gare Matabiau within 22 minutes, significantly improving travel time.
The new Metro line C, set to pass through 21 stations, will also stop at the Blagnac station, expected to be inaugurated by 2028.
