SO - IL's nine chapel tower in brooklyn hosts a series of design installations by verso
Briefly

Verso arrives in Brooklyn with a unique exhibition at Nine Chapel, coinciding with New York Design Week. This site-specific takeover showcases three private residences and a lounge within the fourteen-story condominium designed by SO - IL. Unlike traditional exhibitions, Verso aims for an immersive experience that blends architecture with artistic expression. The standout installation features RIES' PASTO, linking the building's design—characterized by a striking aluminum facade—to themes of transformation and connection to nature. Open to the public from May 16th to 23rd, 2025, the exhibition encourages visitors to explore the evolving relationship between built environments and global design practices.
The interplay between Verso and Nine Chapel unfolds not as a staging of objects within interiors, but as a full immersion into crafted domestic environments shaped by both artistic vision and architectural rigor.
The decision to stage exhibitions inside Nine Chapel marks a shift in scale and context for Verso, aligning itself with the architecture's formal and material sensibility.
For Verso, this textured surface became an echo of PASTO, a years-long collaboration with Argentine studio RIES, whose cast aluminum works form the centerpiece of the ground-floor exhibition.
Verso introduces PASTO in Nine Chapel's resident lounge, connecting the tactile language of the building's skin to RIES' exploration of time, land, and transformation.
