Shahrzad Villa / Kanisavaran Office
"Nestled within the plains of Seyedabad, Damavand, this villa redefines the relationship between architecture and natural light, transforming it from a mere utility into the central protagonist of the living experience. The design orchestrates a daily performance where light, shadow, and form interact to mark the rhythm of time, offering a sanctuary of vibrant tranquility."
Shahrzad Villa, designed by Kanisavaran Office and photographed by Mohammad Hassan Ettefagh, is a 470-square-meter residential project completed in 2025. Located in the plains of Seyedabad, Damavand, the villa fundamentally reimagines how natural light functions within architectural design. Rather than treating light as a practical utility, the design elevates it to the primary experiential element. The architecture orchestrates a continuous interplay between light, shadow, and physical form throughout the day, creating a rhythmic temporal experience. This approach transforms the living spaces into a sanctuary that balances vibrant energy with tranquil atmosphere. The project incorporates materials and systems from manufacturers FAD and Knauf.
