Ricupaglia Farmhouse / Presicci + Pantanella D'Ettorre Architetti
Briefly

Ricupaglia is a renovated 200 sqm farmhouse in southern Tuscany, designed to celebrate rural architecture while enhancing natural surroundings. Originally built as part of an agricultural estate, the farmhouse maintains its traditional layout while introducing modern elements such as large internal openings and a sculptural external staircase. The renovation respects the original materials, like tuff and terracotta, and creates a cohesive living space that allows for movement and connection within the home. The design emphasizes a dialogue between the structure and the beautiful vineyard landscape.
The design preserved the original layout and its main structural elements, transforming a fragmented farmhouse into a cohesive living space that engages with its natural surroundings.
The design intent was to create a 'house in motion', with 360-degree views, blending contemporary comfort with traditional Maremma architecture.
