Meet the Kips Bay Designer: Ovadia Design Group - Galerie Magazine
Briefly

The Kips Bay Decorator Show House features a foyer and stair hall named A Midnight Check-In, inspired by the serene moments between wakefulness and dreams. Ovadia Design Group aimed to create a space that merges residential comfort with the grandeur of hospitality. Central to the design is a custom Tai Ping carpet with a tiger motif symbolizing strength and protection. The project also features artwork by Jennifer Hansen Rolli, adding depth with tactile geometric and organic forms that enhance the space's character, creating an alluring ambient experience.
"We named the vestibule and stair hall A Midnight Check-In to evoke that hour of night when you're at rest and your most imaginative dreams take flight - a moment suspended between wakefulness and sleep, intimate, evocative, and full of possibility."
"A custom Tai Ping carpet-its bold tiger motif drawn from the brand's archival designs of the 1980s and '90s-establishes the tone for everything that follows. The tiger, a symbol of strength, courage, and protection, threads through the design like a quiet guardian."
