Masonry students restore Green-Wood Cemetery mausoleums

On April 17, 2023, thirteen students from the Bridge to Craft Careers program will engage in a restoration project at Green-Wood Cemetery, a National Historic Landmark. This initiative, part of an annual partnership between Green-Wood, the World Monuments Fund, and Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow, emphasizes the importance of historic preservation. Under the guidance of their instructor Neela Wickremsinghe and Keaton Ramjit from the World Monuments Fund, the students will repair and clean four mausoleums located along Tulip Ave.
On Thursday, April 17, 13 students will climb the scaffoldings of Green-Wood Cemetery to restore the historic mausoleums as part of their training.
The event is a collaboration between Green-Wood, World Monuments Fund, and Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow, emphasizing the importance of preserving historic landmarks.
