"Working with Very Simple Kitchen, she configured their Wall and Island kitchen models in stainless for a compact galley effect. The result is pared back but warm: industrial steel set against timeworn surfaces, globe lights overhead, and a few thoughtfully sourced vintage pieces. It's a kitchen assembled quickly at a turning point."
"With the open layout, the kitchen has become even more connected to daily life. The dining table sits directly opposite so when my partner and our child are there, we can talk while I'm cooking. I'm not someone who sits for long periods. I prefer being active, and the kitchen is the place where that fits best."
Creative director Celia Solf and hotelier Moritz Dissertori relocated from Berlin to South Tyrol in 2023, renovating a 1904 house in Bolzano. They opened the wall between kitchen and dining room, painting interiors soft white to enhance light and flow. Original terrazzo floors remain in the kitchen, hallway, and bath, while over 100-year-old pine planks cover other areas, preserving regional history. Solf collaborated with Very Simple Kitchen to create a generously scaled stainless steel kitchen setup tailored to the space. The result balances industrial materials against timeworn surfaces, globe lighting, and vintage pieces. The open layout connects the kitchen directly to the dining area, supporting the family's active lifestyle and enabling conversation during meal preparation.
